All media inquiries should be made through the Public Relations Director at (804) 249-8633 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Our staff can help with information about Children’s Hospital Foundation fundraising, outreach, special events and funding projects. For media inquiries outside of normal business hours or on weekends, please contact the switchboard at (804) 321-7474 and they can get in touch with a representative from the Public Relations Office.

On Site Interviews

Children’s Hospital Foundation is located at the Brook Road Campus of Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Members of the media are required to notify the Public Relations Director before coming to Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. All media requests for stories, photographs, patient information, interviews, statements, filming or videotaping, must be approved by the Public Relations Director in advance of the scheduled visit. While on hospital grounds, a representative from the Public Relations Office will escort media representatives at all times.

Please remember that Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU is private property. For the protection of our patients and families, the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU Security Department strictly enforces the visitors’ policy and retains the right to determine admittance to the facility.

Parking is available onsite at the Brook Road Campus.

Patient Confidentiality

We strive to protect the confidentiality of the children served by Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU while also maintaining the highest standards of communication with the media. The media is considered a valued partner, and every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate appropriate requests for information. The Public Relations Office of Children’s Hospital Foundation does not have access to or permission to seek Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU patient information or condition reports.
