Facilities

Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU(CHoR) is part of the VCU Medical Center, the only Level One Trauma Center in Central Virginia. CHoR has 149 dedicated inpatient pediatric beds and VCU Medical Center offers an additional 40 beds in specialized inpatient units that provide care for both children and adults.

CHoR’s child and family-friendly facilities include the only private room Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Level One Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Central Virginia. CHoR’s Transitional Care Unit is the only specialized care facility that provides pediatric specialized long-term care in the area.
