2017 Annual Bowl-A-Thon Tops Fundraising Records

The 23rd Annual Bowl-A-Thon and 10th Annual Battle of the Banks were held concurrently on Saturday, Feb. 18 at AMF Hanover Lanes. The event was one of the largest yet, featuring 48 teams and 240 bowlers, and it broke fundraising records with over $24,000 raised for Children's Hospital Foundation.

Hillphoenix, the Paralyzed Veterans of America - Mid Atlantic Chapter, and Park Sterling Bank supported the event as Strike Sponsors, and nearly 50 area businesses donated items that were used as raffle prizes or given to top fundraising individuals and teams and high scoring individuals and teams. Many participants also created personal fundraising pages to raise money for the Foundation beyond their registration price. The entire event was supported by great volunteers from SunTrust Bank.

Top Fundraising Team - Hillphoenix raised $2,612, continuing their streak of being the top fundraising team for the 8th year in a row.

Top Fundraising Bank Team - Union Bank & Trust raised $2,023, making them the top fundraising bank team for the 8th time.

Hillphoenix was the top fundraising team for the 8th year in a row with $2,612 raised.
Union Bank & Trust was the top fundraising bank for the 8th time with $2,023 raised.
TowneBank had 3 teams and collectively raised a grand total of $2,350.
The team from the Facilities Department at CHoR's Brook Road Campus was the highest scoring team.
The Steel City Connection, a local group of Pittsburgh sports fans, had 6 teams participating and was the largest group at the event.
Volunteers from SunTrust Bank helped support the event.
