December 27, 2019
The 2019 Elite Contracting Group Four Miles For Kids race, presented by Heartland Concrete, took place on Sept. 28 with more than 1,000 walkers and runners raising $105,000 for Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. The event included a new patient champion experience featuring a parade of patients and families kicking off the morning. Patient families led team fundraising with Team Carter ($5,380.36), Leo’s Smile ($2,961.27) and Team Rian ($2,880.20) earning top honors. Special thanks to Elite Contracting Group, Heartland Concrete, Balducci Realty and Builders, The Page Auto Group, TD Ameritrade and all the event sponsors for their generous support.
Kappa Delta joins the race
A $25,000 donation from the Kappa Delta Foundation was presented during this year’s Four Miles for Kids race. The annual donation was made in honor of the sorority's Founder's Day. CHoR is one of KD's national philanthropies and has benefitted from more than $2.2 million since the 1920s.
